FAUG nCore Games: Teaser breakdown
The teaser posted on the account showcases a CGI capture of helicopters flying over the Galwan Valley. The teaser also showcases the army troops from India and China engaged in hand-to-hand combat. Bangalore-based nCore Games had earlier confirmed that the game will be an action game that will try to accurately reprise the hand-to-hand combat that occured in the Galwan Valley fight. As mentioned earlier by the developer, FAU-G will have brawler gameplay mechanics with the use of melee weapons.
The game will not have the Battle Royale mode at launch. But in an interview to The Mako Reactor, Gondal clearly stated, “And in the Galwan Valley mode, it’s a single player as well as a cooperative multiplayer because I believe nobody would want to take the side of the enemies here. So the concept is really about you experiencing what happened in Galwan Valley.”
In the same interview, Ganesh Hande highlighted, “There is a bit of an exploration element to it. At the same time you will go through guided maps where you will be facing enemy camps and you’re expected to go through them with the skills and melee weapons provided for you.”
But looking at the new FAUG teaser we can’t tell if this is the actual gameplay trailer or merely a cutscene. nCore Games hasn’t confirmed anything either. We shall update this story if we get any confirmation.
FAUG nCore Games: Other bits of information you need to know
FAUG’s hand-to-hand combat will be reportedly similar to the ones gamers have experienced in games such as Last of Us and Batman Arkham series. The idea is to simulate the Galwan Valley battle.
FAUG has no official affiliation to the army, outside of the fact that nCore nas committed 20 percent of the game’s net revenues to Bharat Ke Veer foundation. There are quite a few fake FAUG trailers floating around on YouTube and this is the only real visual teaser we have for now.
The game will launch on both iOS and Android. It will have microtransactions as well.
We are eagerly waiting for the launch of the game, so we can bring you a review soon. Stay tuned for more information.
